voiceofnature:

Amazingly surreal Las Pozas in the rainforest by Xilitla in the Mexico mountains. Created by Edward James in the 40′s, it includes more than 80 acres of natural waterfalls and pools interlaced with towering surrealist sculptures and buildings. The many trails throughout the garden site are composed of steps, ramps, bridges and narrow, winding walkways that traverse the valley walls. It was supposed to be a “Garden of Eden” containing a huge variety of plants and animals.

Turbulence

Reality seems skewed

When nothing makes sense.

My heart aches in this isolated vortex;

Emotions clouding reason—confusing.

I seek comfort in your embrace

But no one is there.

What am I to you?

My thoughts and desires ache for an ounce

Of reciprocation.

Hollow promises fall short

Of the mark in what we have become.

Hollow love falling short

With increased absence of connection.

Who am I to you?

If only these sandy structures,

Brought down by your neglectful waves,

Could rise to show my naïveté—

My hopes for what we could be.

But the waves care not for the

Troubles of the sand.

Why would that matter to you?

Do you not know?

Do you not see?

My reminders fly into a

Tunnel of forgetfulness.

Negligence.

Yet you still remain hidden.

Where do we go?

The path lies hidden.

The more I search

The more I feel lost.

It’s existence comes into question.

I seek your guidance

But all I have is uncertainty.

When will I matter?

Pressure weighs down.

Pressing my determination.

Pounding.

My heart flutters.

But with butterflies or dread,

I cannot say.

How does that feel?

I wish you knew

Of the sadness I feel

Inside your ghostly presence.

My head knows you’re there

But my heart still can’t see.

Searing dissonance.

Can’t you see?

My brain torn asunder

By your paradoxical dance.

My mind screams to forget,

But my heart begs to stay.

The victor is still

Yet to be determined.

Will you ease my turbulence?

Or will you disappear in afterthought?

Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.

Beautiful.

Now I’m crying thanks

and a new cat was hired right?

yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy

she works very hard

Everytime this crosses my dash, I reblog. It is the law.
